Château Branda ~ Puisseguin Saint-Emilion
A new generation of winegrowers...
Situated at an altitude of 110 metres on the edge of the plateau, its temperate climate is very favourable to vine-growing. The other very important factor is Branda's subsoil. It has the same characteristics as the Saint Emilion grands crus. It is one of the elite terroirs made up of this limestone slab formation from the Tertiary period. In geological terms, this translates into asteriaceous alterites and Upper Stampian facies. Behind all this complex terminology, there's only one thing you need to remember: Branda is an exceptional area. A few years ago, Professor René Pijassou spoke of Branda as being destined to produce only great wines. When Guy Benjamin bought Branda, he took up Professor Henri Enjalbert's analysis: "For vines, the only good terroirs are red sandy-clay formations, not very thick on limestone. On these terroirs, the vine produces less and makes great wines". Branda is one of these exceptional terroirs.

2022
Château Branda 2022 Puisseguin
- A wine with many virtues for good, healthy drinking: labelled AB & labelled HVE3
- A deep ruby colour with violet highlights.
- Mocha nose with hints of smoke and ripe black and red fruit.
- Full, fleshy and generous on the palate. The tannins are supple and silky. The finish is long, with great pleasure for the young.
- A very fine bottle that should be cellared for 7 to 9 years to reach its full potential.

History
For almost 3 decades, Branda has continued to evolve, becoming ever more virtuous: this is our third AB-labelled vintage, and we've been ISO 140001 for almost 10 years now, and a little less HVE3.
Château Branda, Château Tour des Agasseaux and Vieux Château Chambeau have already set the benchmark for Puisseguin & Lussac in terms of consistency and quality, and these environmental initiatives make them among the most prominent wines in the Saint-Emilion satellites.
